NAJ Academy successfully delivered the Fashion Leadership Program in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council, empowering women entrepreneurs, fashion designers, and aspiring business leaders with the strategic knowledge and practical experience needed to build, manage, and grow successful fashion businesses.
Designed to bridge the gap between creative vision and business excellence, the program covered essential areas of fashion entrepreneurship, including market analysis, target audience identification, brand positioning, pricing strategies, business planning, company systems, time management, marketing, customer service, operations, and production cost management.
Beyond Business Strategy: Hands-On Fashion Industry Experience
The program extended beyond classroom learning through practical sessions at the NAJ atelier, giving participants valuable exposure to the practical side of fashion development and production. These sessions helped connect business concepts with real-world industry practices, offering a closer look at the processes and considerations involved in bringing fashion ideas to life.
A dedicated Fabric Day provided participants with an opportunity to explore the importance of fabric selection in fashion design and business decision-making, understanding how fabric characteristics, quality, suitability, and cost can influence design development, product positioning, and production planning.
By combining strategic business education, hands-on sessions at the NAJ atelier, and practical fabric exploration, the program offered a comprehensive learning experience that connected creativity with commercial thinking and production realities.
This collaboration reflects NAJ Academy’s commitment to advancing fashion education beyond design, nurturing entrepreneurial talent, and supporting women in transforming their creative vision into structured, sustainable, and commercially informed fashion businesses.
